It's that time of year again when the excitement of the upcoming FMA Conference is in the air and we call for entries for the FMA Excellence Awards​.

The Excellence Awards publicly recognise the outstanding contribution of FMA organisations and individuals towards promoting wise land use planning, reducing flood impacts, managing flood incidents or restoring communities after a flood event.

At the 2015 FMA Conference, we will see the return of the FMA-NRMA Insurance Flood Risk Management Project of the Year Award, which acknowledges the work of an FMA organisation or partnership toward the reduction of flood impacts, the management of flood incidents or the restoration of communities across Australia after a flood event.

Also, our Excellence Awards have been expanded this year to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of an individual who demonstrates the highest level of achievement in areas of flood risk management, with the inaugural Allan Ezzy Flood Risk Manager of the Year Award.

The Awards will be presented at the conference dinner for the 2nd FMA National Conference on 21 May, 2015 in Brisbane, Queensland.
